BIO
Born in Madison, Wisconsin. Attending school at UC Berkeley studying Art Practice and Sociology.
As a mixed-race artist whose family is made up of Chinese and Jewish immigrants, I contextualize my work with the experiences of my ancestors who lived through the harsh realities of totalitarian rule, racism, and discrimination.
My work is inspired by Tehching Hsieh, Ai Weiwei, Marina Abramovic, and other artists who utilize their distinct voices to initiate discussions about contemporary social issues. I am interested in the intersections of visual culture and social change; I believe art can be used as a medium to activate change across the world. I am particularly concerned about issues involving social justice, equity, accessibility, and inclusivity, as well as moral and ethical questions surrounding policies and power structures.
